ABOUT SUMMER STOCK

An award-winning program where high school and college artists collaborate with theatre professionals to create unforgettable productions, training the next generation of artists, technicians, and leaders while building lifelong relationships and pathways to success in the arts.

JUNE

Some Internships may have virtual work beginning in June

  • June 2: Full Company Zoom & Costume Shop starts working

  • June 16: Scenic Build Begin at TPA Shop

  • June 16 - 23: Rehearsal and Filming of Original Movie Musical

  • June 17 - 20: Rehearsal for Annual Sneak Peek and Costume Measurements & Fittings (not mandatory)

  • June 19 - 27: Stage Manager Training and Prep Week

  • June 28: Begin Rehearsals for Live Shows

JULY

  • July 18: Sneak Peek Performance - Full Company

  • July 21: Begin Tech 

  • July 25: Opening of Show #1

AUGUST

  • August 2: Opening of Show #2 

  • August 10: Close Season

  • August 11: Strike - Full Company

TYPICAL HOURS

LIVE SHOW REHEARSALS

During the first 2 weeks of rehearsal, one show rehearses from 10 AM to 3 PM, and the other from 5 PM to 10 PM.

During tech weeks, the full company rehearses from 10 AM to 10 PM.

The performance schedule varies. Check the dates.

ARTS ADMIN INTERNS

Variable based on needs. Some work will be virtual.

COSTUME & SCENIC SHOPS

Weekdays 9 am-5 pm

SNEAK PEEK REHEARSAL

Variable based on scheduling; Typically a 6 hr day, You may not be called every day or every hour.

ON-SITE SHOPS

If you are assigned to an onsite shop, you will either be called 10a-3p or 3p-10p
