Impact Arts endeavors to:

  • TRAIN ARTISTS AND TECHNICIANS

    Impact Arts has directly impacted nearly 5000 students with top-notch training in not only the performing arts including singing, dancing, and acting, but also in audio and video technology, construction, sewing, craft-making, and electrics. In addition to those hard skills, the soft skills taught each year include collaboration, time management, accountability, creative problem-solving, commitment, initiative, quick learning, adaptability, respect for colleagues, self-discipline, ability to recover from disappointment, leadership, responsibility, passion for your work, and FUN! We can teach all of that AND entertain an audience!

  • INSPIRE DIVERSE AUDIENCES

    Impact Arts commits to inspiring a diverse audience through high-quality entertainment and thoughtful art with productions featuring the most passionate students of our community at large. Impact Arts has inspired and entertained over 45,000 audience members from the greater Austin area.

  • PROVIDE EARLY PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

    Impact Arts has become a stepping stone for lighting, audio, costume, props, and digital designers as well as stage managers and arts administrators providing them the opportunity to build their resumes in a fast-paced, yet nurturing environment, with industry professionals mentoring them through the process. Impact Arts is also committed to providing paid mentorship and job opportunities to past participants as they begin their careers.

    In the words of Allen Robertson, “Our young people are our greatest natural resource” and they are not only passionate and talented, but they are thoughtful, innovative, collaborative, and creative and Impact Arts' programs have been empowering young artists for nearly three decades. We believe in the power young people have to inspire change, uplift hearts, and bring together communities.

  • PROMOTE THE HEALTH OF THEATRE AND ENTERTAINMENT

    Impact Arts fosters young artists with programming that supports them at any stage of their work. Mentorships, internships, and apprenticeships promote the future health of the theatre and entertainment industries by providing hands-on training and experience In fast-paced, professional (and also educational) environments.

    Through tuition-free programs, scholarships, school visits, school support, community partnerships, and curated programming, Impact Arts is committed to providing arts education to ALL students and communities.
