Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Representation, Accessibility & Anti-Racism Commitment

Since our founding, we’ve committed to building spaces where every artist, student, and community member — especially those historically excluded — feels seen, heard, and empowered. Our Board of Directors reflects this commitment, with intentional representation across race, gender, and the LGBTQ+ community. But representation is just the beginning.

We believe that excellence is born from diversity, and our programs are designed to reflect the rich identities of the communities we serve. At Impact Arts, we are building a community where everyone — from students to staff, company members to patrons, and all who engage with our work — feels welcomed, represented, and empowered.

We believe that the arts are a fundamental part of the human experience, and access to that experience must be equitable. That means acknowledging and addressing the systemic barriers — including racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and economic inequality — that have historically excluded many people from full participation in arts education and performance.

Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, representation, accessibility & anti-racism (DEIRAA) is not a single initiative or policy — it’s embedded in how we lead, how we program, how we teach, and how we show up for one another. It’s reflected in our leadership, our curricula, our casting, and our community partnerships.

We strive to create spaces where artists and audiences alike feel safe to be themselves, take creative risks, and grow. We champion authentic representation on stage and off, and we believe in the power of storytelling to shift culture, build empathy, and spark change.

As we continue to grow, we remain accountable to our community. We listen. We learn. We evolve — with humility and with resolve — to ensure that Impact Arts remains a place where everyone belongs, and where everyone can thrive.
